The seventh art finds its stage by the sea in an essential cultural event in Islantilla.
The Bajo la Luna International Film Festival – Islantilla Cinefórum is the wink that this destination gives to film lovers, inviting them to enjoy the most avant-garde audiovisual proposals in the best of environments: THE BEACH. An appointment with the best feature films and short films produced around the world, exhibited outdoors during the months of July and August, when the heat invites you to enjoy the night and the projections under the light of the Moon. All this seasoned with round tables, exhibitions and special sessions, among other cultural activities.
This is an initiative promoted by the Commonwealth of Islantilla in collaboration with various public and private entities (City Councils of Lepe and Isla Cristina, business community of Islantilla, International University of Andalusia, University of Huelva, etc.).

The Walk of Fame is a tribute to all the filmmakers who have received over the years the highest recognition granted by the Islantilla Film Festival.
Since its inception in 2008, the International Under the Moon Film Festival has annually awarded two Honorary Awards that recognise the work of outstanding figures in the world of cinema. Through the 'Premio Luis Ciges' and the 'Premio Francisco Elías', the Festival has paid tribute to different stars of our cinematography.
Before the Under the Moon Film Festival, there were other festivals in Islantilla such as the Unreleased Film Festival and the Film and Television Festival, where both presented their Honorary Awards under the name of 'Honorary Chameleon'.
