Access to Islantilla by road is through highways that connect its two parent municipalities, Lepe and Isla Cristina, with the rest of Spain and Portugal.
The V Centenario Highway (A49) connects Seville with Ayamonte (on the border with Portugal), and has three different exits that correspond to the Islantilla destination:
Exit 113: Lepe East.
Exit 117: Lepe Oeste.
Exit 122: Isla Cristina.
The most direct exit to reach Islantilla by highway is number 117. Taken in the direction of Lepe, it leads to the roundabout that connects with the new A-5076 highway, which leads to Islantilla and La Antilla.
To access this destination via conventional roads, from exit 113 connect with the national highway N-431 until you reach the municipality of Lepe, where you will take the A-5056 highway in the direction of La Antilla. Once you reach La Antilla, the signs on the left mark the beginning of Islantilla.
From exit 122 it also connects with the national highway N-431 towards Isla Cristina through the district of Pozo del Camino, a route that runs along the A-5150 highway. Once in the urban center of Isla Cristina, the town is circumnavigated through the Ronda Norte, which becomes the Carretera de La Antilla and this, in turn, becomes the A-5054 highway, which ends in Islantilla.
A final option is to access through Exit 117 Lepe Oeste towards La Redondela, circumventing this center using the HU-3400 road towards the beach, and turning the beach roundabout to the left towards Islantilla at the intersection with the A-5054. This last route, like the one that comes from Isla Cristina, runs parallel to the Isla Cristina beach and its coastal forest of pine and eucalyptus forests.
From Portugal, the IP1 highway connects the Algarve with Islantilla from its westernmost end (Cabo de San Vicente) to the border town of Ayamonte, from where it is possible to connect with the A49 towards Seville and take the same three exits mentioned above (113, 117 and 122).
To access Islantilla by bus you can consult the services of the companies Damas, SA and Socibús, SA. Both connect Islantilla with the main urban centers of the province and with the rest of Spain.

For lovers of train journeys, Islantilla has a direct connection from Huelva capital (35 kilometers away) with Madrid, Córdoba and La Palma del Condado through the Altaria line, which connects the capital of Spain with the Huelva province daily. covering part of the journey on high-speed roads.
It is also possible to access from Seville with the regional train networks, with greater daily frequency and connected in turn with the rest of the lines in Andalusia through the Seville station.

Islantilla's proximity to the capitals of Andalusia and the Portuguese Algarve, Seville and Faro respectively, make it an easily accessible destination for visitors from abroad, since both airfields have a significant flow of international flights.
Faro airport is approximately 90 kilometers from Islantilla, 25 of which are in Spanish territory, and the rest in Portuguese territory. The entire route is done by highway, between the Spanish A49 and the Portuguese Via Infante de Sagres (IP1).
The San Pablo – Seville airport is located about 140 kilometers away from Islantilla, directly connected to this destination through the V Centenario Highway (A49) and the SE-30 ring road of the capital of Seville.
