The plaques are designed in black marble with a white starfish, inscribed with the name of each honoree, the honorary award they received, and the year in which they were honored. Commemorative plaques have been added in recent years, reaching a total of 22 figures in 2024. They will have their place of honor in this coastal enclave of Huelva after 25 years of paying homage to the Seventh Art.
Luis Ciges, Ángela Molina, Emilio Gutiérrez Caba, Juan Diego, Terele Pávez… were some of the first nombres in a long list of personalities to receive their starfish on the Islantilla Walk of Fame when this space dedicated to cinema was inaugurated in 2017.
Seven years later, this tribute to those who left their mark on the Islantilla Film Festival has undergone a major expansion with the addition of ten new stars to this boulevard. All of them are part of the history of a film festival that has adapted to the times since its inception in 2000 as the International Festival of Unreleased Film, and which for many years has maintained Islantilla's identity as a meeting place for the audiovisual sector.
Since then, many more stars from this sector have walked the Islantilla red carpet and have gradually been included in this Walk of Fame, which immortalizes them forever, creating a permanent bond with those who live in this part of the Costa de la Luz and have the opportunity to take a photo with the commemorative star of these artists.

The mayors of Lepe and Isla Cristina described it as "a good idea to have a place like this, because it serves as a tribute, but also as a reminder of the Festival's history, which has brought together important figures in film culture and promoted the Islantilla brand outside the country. Proof of this is that year after year the event attracts thousands of audiovisual creators from all over the world with works that bring us closer to other cultures, to other ways of understanding life, and that shape a Festival that is one of the most important cultural events of the Huelva summer."
This project, which can be visited year-round, is constantly growing and reserves space for future expansions in upcoming editions of the Festival. Under the name of the International Moonlight Film Festival, it takes place during the summer months, offering a nod to film lovers, who are invited to enjoy the most avant-garde audiovisual offerings in the best setting: the beach.
An evening dedicated to the best feature and short films produced around the world, screened outdoors during the months of July and August, when the warm weather invites you to enjoy the nighttime and moonlit screenings. All of this is accompanied by panel discussions, exhibitions, special sessions, and other cultural activities. It's a fun way to learn about film culture and national and international big-screen stars.
