The judge who lost consciousness,

Manuel Ciges Aparicio

Manuel Ciges Aparicio was a soldier, politician, journalist and writer, a member of the Generation of '98. His writings were the fruit of his life experiences and in them he always remained faithful to his ideological convictions. A biography in which the trip to Cuba (passing in prison in Havana), the marriage with Azorín's sister or the friendship with Manuel Azaña stand out... and a young death, murdered as a consequence of his unwavering political commitment to the Republican left. In 'The Judge Who Lost Consciousness', from 1925, he portrays the Spanish political caciquism of the time. A little-known work and a fascinating life, without a doubt, that of the father of our beloved actor Luis Ciges.
