The route runs along paved and unpaved paths, with some sandy ground from time to time. Alternating coastal area, dunes and pine and eucalyptus forests. With the occasional wooden walkway parallel to the coast. You also walk along the old trade route from Isla Cristina to La Antilla. The starting point is Pinar de Isla Cristina at the blue house that serves as an information centre. Much of the route runs through a protected nature reserve.
